    3 Monitors - 3 Graphics Cards

    Hi,

I have recently added two additional graphics cards to my pc so I can run 3 screens:

I currently have installed and working:

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 - PCI
    NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 - PCI
    RADEON 9250 - AGP

Now the only problem I have is when the system try to boot a game such as flight simulator or I try to access the setting in the software supplied by the individual graphics card my system just turns off and restarts!

    Any help would be great

    Thanks

    Richy

This is going to be no help but it's a.. unique setup. I can only imagine how tricky it would be trying to get three graphics card and two different drivers to play nice!

A reboot when running a game and such may sometime a case of overclocking too far/PSU giving out, but here, I suspect it's a plain case of incompatibility.

ATI + Nvidia is not gonna work properly. Don't bother. Those card all have different capabilities and such it is really impossible for windows / direct3d to handle that.

What I can suggest is get may be two 8300GT or similar, that will run 3 monitors easily with acceptable performance.

I have a Nvidia 5950 Ultra in the classifieds section http://forums.hexus.net/classifieds-...tuff-sale.html should be powerful enough to replace the ATI and one PCI card leaving you two Nvidia cards which shouldn't conflict with each other.

    Re: 3 Monitors - 3 Graphics Cards

Running 3/4 monitors extra cards is all about getting cars/drivers that work good together, as already ati/nvidia is not a great choice, althdough I have read of multi monitor, ati/nvidia setup before it is certainly something I would not advise. Why 3 cards? Do they all have 1 output each?
