need help finding graphics card
I have an old Epox EP 4G4AE motherboard that has a 4x AGP slot. I am looking for a good graphics card to use in a HTPC setup.
I know I should get an updated board but as I am a relative newbie I would like to experiment first before I buy.
Can anyone recommend a decent graphics card I could use please.
Thanks

What do you want it to do?
If all you want is video playback then pretty much anything will do if your looking for HD playback then the Radeon 2400 and 2600 have AGP versions (assuming they work at 4x with reduced bandwidth) the may be some of the newer 3*** to come shortly in AGP.

Yes, the card is mainly for video playback, (i.e. DVD, DVB-T, DVB-C & recorded TV.) to link to my HD TV. So I would also want it to play back HD.
I did try an old GEForce 2 MX 400 (64mb I think) but that didn't cope very well.
I did read somewhere that there wasn't much difference in performance between 4x & 8x AGP, but I wouldn't have a clue! So the cards you mentioned seem ok and for £40-50 I think it's worth giving them a try. (I can always use it in another PC.)
Thanks for your help.
