Confused about a monitor and Q9450 cpu

I need some help as I'm getting confused!

I have two questions please?

I need a Motherboard, for my new Q9450 45nm (on order). I can't afford DDR3 so it will have to be a DDR2 board.

I was looking at the EVGA 680i as I thought it was 775, but reading on other forums this board does not work with Q9450!

The other board was the EVGA780i....... Do you guys know of any other mobos for this cpu that are any good or better?


I need a 22" monitor and haven't got a clue which one to go for apart from The Samsung SyncMaster 226BW (2ms) 3000:1. Its about £210 which is my budget but if anyone knows of a better FPS gaming monitor then please let me know?

Any of the i35 boards are better - the Abit ones get good reviews for the price but there are many others.

isnt that monitor the one thats £170 on amazon????

I got a Samsung 2232BW from /shudder PCworld, for arround £200 and its great, a good buy at that price from the worst PC store in history.
