    Dual monitor

    Anybody know a good, free, desktop manager. I have two monitors, an Asus 9600xt and xp. The "extend desktop to second monitor" thing is o.k. But a little limited. what I really want is my nview back - doubt this will work because it is only bundled in the detonator drivers.

    And all the software I tried does not do what I want. I want 2 complete desktops. that are separate, and are assigned to different monitors.

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    mmm. Rude not to thank people that a) bothered to read b) bothered to post. Considered yourself thanked. I thought that the ATI Hydravision would be the solution. However, I couldn't get it to set a desktop to a monitor. So I wind up with 2 virtual desktops - with the problems I have with just xp - across both monitors. I want 2 desktops. 2 monitors.

    well. This is how nview worked.... I had a geforce 4 be4 *sniggers to self with the alliteration pun* and had multiple "virtual" desktops that ran on the single monitor I had at the time. I recall an option to "set desktop to a monitor", and this is what is needed !
    You set yourself a key, or key combination, and this jumps between the desktops.

    two physical monitors, two desktops. One desk. assigned to each monitor. This should not be rocket science. Surely people want this.

    Thanks to all of my magnificent posters !
