Nvidia 9 Series

Hi guys i'm building a new system at the end of this month and i know pretty much everything im going to get. The only thing i'm unsure about is the graphics card.

I was going to get either the 8800 GT or GTS but i wanted to know when are the new batch of 9 series estimated to come out?
Is it worth waiting for them or should I just get the 8800 at the end of the month (keeping in mind i don't really want to spend more than about £220)?

Thanks,
Guppy.

Well if the 9600GT is anything to go by the 9800's will be weapons but who actually knows?

If you can wait then wait, if you can't then i'm sure the 8800's won't dissapoint you.

I would say it's better to get the 9600GT now and then sell it in a year or so and put the extra £100 you save now towards a decent card then.

£200 for a brand new GTX.. you must be having a laugh, that's less than the current GTX. £400 more like.

Not from an ecological view point. Electronic waste is horrible.

Re: Nvidia 9 Series

Is the GTS coming out this month then?
I thought it was only the GX2 in march and then no more high end cards till november.

I hope i'm wrong though, so I can get a GTS.

Re: Nvidia 9 Series

ta. hadnt seen that.
If that GTX comes out and translates to under 250 quid I'll be a happy bunny.
Somehow I dont see that happening though.
Probably end up going with the GT ~200
no gts model?

Re: Nvidia 9 Series

i'd like that 9800GT..
but judging by their prices for the 9600GT being £10 - £15 short of what they actually are i reckon the 9800GT will probably be somewhere around £180..

still a good price 'cause it'll be an awesome card!

If you find one for that price new in the UK i will buy it for you.

Try doubling that figure and you will be almost there.

Even if you did mean the GTS, it still wont be that price.

Can you let me know where you 'plucked' these figures from?
