Question replacement for x700 graphics card

    Hi,

I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card but am a little bewildered by all the models currently on the market.

I'm wanting to swap to an nvidia card as I'm getting rather fed up with my x700's refusal to behave when connected to via DVI (I believe this is a known problem with ATI cards whereby the monitor flickers and blinks every so often).

My current card is a Sapphire x700 256mb pci-e and I'm looking for something of a similar spec or better. I'm looking at spending £30-£50.

I'll be running it on an amd athlon 64 3000+ system with 1gb ram and as I've just bought a shiny new 400w fsp power supply (trying to save a few pennies on my electricity bill!) I'd obviously like something that won't blow that up!

    Any ideas?

    M@

    - 512MB Power Color HD3650 ~ £45.09

I've never come across an ATi card that causes flicker so I'm pretty certain it's not a common problem, plus the lower end ATi cards are better than the nVidia alternatives at the moment so the above gets my vote.

    EDIT: 256MB Asus HD3650 ~ £48.68

This one has faster GDDR3 memory.
