seems like i'm missing out on quite the sale, here... soon enough, soon enough .

on topic, does anyone here actually HAVE this card? it seems ultra dodgy tbh, considering that there isn't a 256mb version of the 3870 to begin with

    Re: Sapphire 3870x2 512Mb - performance?

Looking at the second site linked, the clickly one lists the first part of the description as:

Technical Description: Sapphire HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 TOXIC PCI-E DUAL-DL-DVI HDTV FULLRETAI IN - 11122-09-50R (Components Video Graphics Cards)

It then goes on about X2 but as suggested earlier I assume they mean the toxic.

    Re: Sapphire 3870x2 512Mb - performance?

DA Comupters have changed the description and title of the card now.

    Title:
    SAPPHIRE HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 TOXIC PCI-E DUAL-DL-DVI HDTV FULLRETAI
    Desc:
THIS RECORD IS UNDER QUERY BY JOHN AT DA COMPUTERS. HE DOESNT THINK THIS IS THE X2 VERSION AND HAS ASKED US TO CHECK IT OUT. WE DONT HAVE A CONTACT AT SAPPHIRE AND I HAVE THEREFORE HAD TO EMAIL THEM FOR CONFIRMATION. I HAVE SWITCHED IT OFF UNTILL IT IS SORTED- JANE 17/2/08
I ordered one yesterday and got a print screen while it still said X2 so we'll see what happens.
