    Which 8800 GT?

I'm upgrading to an 8800GT, and after shopping around I've found a few but could anyone recommend which is best?

    Inno3D 8800GT 512MB GDDR3 Wind Edition @ £134.99inc vat

    OR

Leadtek GeForce 8800 GT ZL OC 512MB @ £140.99 inc VAT

    OR

    512MB MSI 8800GT OC, PCI-E 2.0, Mem 1900MHz GDDR3 @ £146.08 Inc VAT

    OR

    512MB XFX 8800GT, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), 1800MHz GDDR3 @ £145.87 Inc VAT

Not too sure about that last one, but I head xfx are a good card maker?

Any and all help much appreciated.

Out of those i would go for the MSI card.

XFX have a poor RMA procedure.

(Why not save another £30 and get a 8800GTS G92.......its a better card all round)

I think MSI have the best repuation (just from my general impressions) so I'd be tempted by that one too

I can personally vouch for this one: Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
The performance is incredible and its so so quiet. (Also one of the highest factory clocked G92's around)

For under £200, i dont think there is a better card available.

    Re: Which 8800 GT?

aw man... now i really want one.
My budget started out at around £150... now its creeping up...I could just wait another month I suppose, I'll probably be able to buy it then.
I'm also looking for a decent 22" monitor for under £150, but I need a new card first.

I have a 8600GT 512 with a zalman vf1000 cooler on it, and 17" tft that I'm planning to sell as soon as I get all this stuff. Would £70 for the card, and £70 for the monitor be unreasonable?

Viewsonic Optiquest Q22wb 22" Widescreen Monitor.

Has DVI and everything you would expect from a top class panel. (even though its pretty cheap)

I picked one up at Christmas for £155 from Scan. Take a look.

    Re: Which 8800 GT?

I don't really like MSI or XFX but regardless of that I would go for the Leadtek. It's a good price, a healthy overclock and got what seems to be a very good quiet cooling solution on it.

Leadtek cards have never let me down, i've got their old geforce3, 6600GT and 8800GTS

soon to be available at scan too..perrrrrfect

Am very happy with my Palit 8800GT, they are 137 quid from Scan.

Can't see the attraction of spending the extra money on a slightly higher clock compared to the entertainment value of, say, beer

The Palit are actually among the best 8800GT cards available, the cooler is better than most and they have an above-par power system (3 phase as opposed to standard 2 phase) which results in longer life, better overclocking and lower temps. I have no idea how good their customer support is though

So between the leadtek and the MSI... I'm guessing the leadtek would be quieter?
