i discharged before picking it up and i wore this wristband thing my dad got me.. that you connect to the case.

i think i was just the unlucky 1 to get the faulty card tbh..

ask blitzen too test his rig, most accurate comparison imo because his is the same processor+8800GTS, i would but i have a dual core .

Im not installing 3D Mark 03 or 05.
They are all but dead now and wont give any kind of true reflection for new hardware anyway.
I dont think they will be all that happy about running on Vista 64Bit either tbh.

Benchmarks that are pretty good and give a good reflection are:
- 3D Mark 06 (although synthetic gives a fair uindication
- CS:S Benchmark. It gives a half decent indication
- The one i like that really stresses the rig is the FEAR benchmark.

Put you system through any of the benchmarks out there, doesnt really say to much.

Because they are fun to run.

3DMark 03 is excellent for testing graphics card performance.

Its true different games stress different components more in different ways... That's why reviews still benchmark with oldish games and with 3dmark03/05

Seems like 2 gb to 4gb makes little difference in 3dmark, what about 1 to 2gb?
