    Exclamation Graphics Cards Suggestions?

Hi I'm going to be building a new Gaming PC soon here are the specs I should be getting:

    MotherBoard:
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
    £56.15 Inc VAT

    Processor:
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
    £143.29 Inc VAT

    Memory:
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
    £30.13 Inc VAT

    Total: 229.57

So what would be a nice GPU for this setup bare in mind I quite like it to be future proof and be able to play Crysis at 1440x900, Very High and 2x AA throughout the game none of the bull**** where you get inside the alien base and it drops 5fps.

    Re: Graphics Cards Suggestions?

What is your budget for a graphics card? You can get a 9600GT~£90, 8800GT~£105 or 8800GTS~£130. ATI are set to release their next gen cards soon so I would be inclined to hold out until then.

Also I wish the term "future proof" would not get used because nothing with pc's is future proof.

    Re: Graphics Cards Suggestions?

The next gen cards are set to be released this summer, ATI first then a bit later the new 9900GTX (or whatever it is called). Supposedly going to be a major upgrade like the 7 series to 8 series was. No specific dates I dont think tho. If you dont want to wait for ATI buying a card now might be fine.

    Re: Graphics Cards Suggestions?

Yeah I noticed there wasn't really much of a jump between the 8 and the 9 series so anyone got some details on this 9900GTX?
