    9800GTX ftw

    Hey guys,

Since loads of us have got/are getting his card cheap. I thought I'd make a thread for overclock results, pictures, benchmarks and general 9800GTX pwnage...

Lets keep it all in this thread to keep hexus tidy

    Re: 9800GTX ftw

Just downloading 3dmark06 to get a couple of benchies for this thread, I have a couple of reasonably uninteresting pics as well.

Had a quick shot of portal, 1920x1200, 16xAF, 16xCSAA (I think that's what it was, the highest one) and everything on high. It was absolutely beautiful.

When Hexus did this: HEXUS.net - Review :: NVIDIA (BFG) GeForce 9800 GTX. Got £200 for a graphics card? Read this : Page - 1/10 review it was very interesting.

No doubt its decent value at £165.
    Poor vlaue at £200 though.

    Re: 9800GTX ftw

I was gonna take pics but before I knew it the card was in and running. Oh well. I'm having serious problems with 3dmark06 not submitting anything so I ran 05 once, completely stock with programs running in the background and everything and got 15k.

I've ran 06 a couple of times at 800/2000 with the memory still stock. Hopefully there's still a bit of room left for more!

    Re: 9800GTX ftw

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm curious...what kinds of performance gains have these had over the 8800GT? I know its not likely Earth-shattering, but I'm curious...I may have to get one this fall...

Edit: nevermind, I suppose, I just saw another thread concerning this. Whoops!

Either the card is more underpowered than first thought or you have issues with your rig.
Im getting on for 16K with the 8800GTS 512mb.......there is plenty more left in the tank aswell.
