somehow i hold my doubts. The constant refreshes of the nVidia 8-series leave me wondering what they intend to do once ATi releases R700...
Their failed merger with VIA perhaps indicates the "whoop assing" may be short-lived. If Intel and AMD are to be believed, they're going to have hook up with a CPU manufacturer pretty quickly. Intel have Larrabee. AMD have... well AMD. For these closely-tied CPUs and GPUs, or GPUs on the die, where exactly are NVIDIA going to end up? Combined with their apparently very, very poor 65nm yields means they're in a lot worse a shape than many think if they don't pull their fingers out.

Only AMD/ATI have delivered a good integrated VGA - 780G. Even 8200 from Nvidia wont be as good.
exactly. someone pleae tell me what the point of an 8500 is? it's useless... even for HTPC use, ATi hdoes them better...
as to the CEO's comment: how many people actually WANT to render the BSOD?
Most people only play the Simms or World of Warcraft on rubbish monitors. For them the 8500 is OK.
Just think of it as a passive 6600GT for older games.
...but that makes me shiver thinking anyone would want such crap!
