Opinions on the LG M228WD please?

Just had a look at this 22" monitor and it pretty much fits my needs (TV, component and it's a decent size with a nice contrast ratio, and the price is really good as well)

LG M228WD 22" HD Ready Widescreen LCD Monitor with Digital TV Tuner - Black

I just wondered if anyone has any experience with this monitor and what they think of it?

    Thanks.

Re: Opinions on the LG M228WD please?

i have the tv but the analogue version(like mikes gf) its a great screen, got mine for £200 a year ago @ empire direct, my dad made an axccount with this premium card so he got something like 5 year warranty free.

Great screen and viewing angels are good, very good in brightness and custimisation (sorry cant spell xD). Has all the needed connections, i have my pc linked via dvi--> hdmi cable and had the wii on scart and 360 on component which was very good.

You wont be disappointed if you get it. LG= low price but great quality, on par with sony and samsung etc.

    Thanks guys, really helpful.

One other question though. Does it have any sort of swivel or tilt?

    Cheers

Re: Opinions on the LG M228WD please?

sorry i didnt see your edit . The stand supplied is just a chunk of plastic really(well molded and look nice xD) so no tilt/swivel im afraid but you can get different bases as far as i remember(3rd party ofc).

    Hope this helped.

Does it face upwards enough? Last time I had a stand that didn't swivel or tilt and it faced downward really badly.

I've got a 19" one like that but the 22" seems to fair a bit better. It can swivel enough forwards and backwards to find a comfortable viewing position.

woops, my bad xD. I didnt really want too force mine much as i thought it was just molded plastic but mike is right, it tilts/swivels enough imo.
