    Which to go for?

Right well im considering a new gfx as mine is starting to mess up (got a Nvidia Club3d 6600).

I'm looking at getting another Nvidia card as i have a Asus P5N-D and prefer them over ATI. So thinking of getting either a 9600GT or a 8800GT, money isnt too much of an issue but at most i'd spend £120-140

So whats better buying a more expensive 9600GT or lower end 8800GT?

    Re: Which to go for?

Well the only differences between the various versions are the stock clocks and possible the cooler (as well as the stuff that comes free), they are all made in the same factory afaik.

The 8800GT's are a bit better than the 9600's. The 9600's will use slightly less power and run cooler.

Scan have a 9600 for £88 right now and if you get to 25 posts you can get free delviery via your hexus account. Thats a good deal.

    BUT

if you pull the trigger right now..
    Gainward GeForce Bliss 8800GTS 512MB PCI-E DVI x 2 - 8996 - microdirect.co.uk - £121 delivered and it's better than both.
