Oh, just found a Samsung monitor that is around £100 less!
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
So now I am torn between this Samsung and the Dell...
Anyone used the Samsung before? Pros/Cons?
It gets pretty good reviews but it is a TN panel. You lose all the extra inputs the dell offers. If you have the money for the dell I would get it, if you have more money than you need for the dell...

This is on my list

Ahh yes, just seen it is TN Panel...
I doubt I'll have more money than the dell...unless I budget for a cheaper GFX card. Budget is approx £600.
That Samsung, I couldn't find it on TFTcentral. I'll google for it once I get home from work.
Thanks for the suggestion...bigger screen = more retail estate to oogle at. Shame it is slightly over budget.
Yeah I've been weighing up the dell and the sammy (25.5) for a week of so now and still can't decide.
You deffinatly need the extra GFX power for it though so I would stick with the GTS. Unless you can justify going £50 over given that its got freeview built in..
LoL! Means paying for a TV license then...I don't have a TV, uni sorted me out on that front. Weened off television.
Whatever is released by the time I am ready to purchase (around June/July time), is what I will get. The Samsung does look nice though...hopefully with the release of the new GFX cards, I can grab a bargain basement 9800GTX that someone no longer wants.
I think I should stick with the Dell, unless someone can justify why the extra 1.5 inch diagonal viewing length.
Kinda off topic but if you buy direct from Dell you could save £35.
It's £420 over there ATM

Is there any difference between the two revisions?
Can get as low as £386 delivered from Dell if you haggle.
OK, earlier...MUCH earlier than expected my sister is paying me back!!! yeah! So I can afford to buy it now...just a [i]slight]/i] problem...do I wait for A01 version? How long wll that be? If I wait till then, could I grab a relatively cheap 9800GTX? All for a budget of £600?
But that Samsung Monitor/TV has more real estate to stare at...the decisions! Then there is the similar BenQ monitor too.

Someone kindly posted up a picture a while back of comparing 19inch 4:3, 24inch w/s and 30inch w/s, (scaled down obviously) that showed the extra viewing area you would get.
I tried searching for it but came up with nothing.
Could someone repost it for me please?
It's so I can work out how the new monitor will fit in the room.
Thanks in advance.
BTW price of 9800GTX is tempting...£180!!!
Is your xbox 360 a new one or an old one, would you be connecting it via HDMI or vga?
Monitors with three digital inputs aren't that common so if you want hdmi for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and DVI for the pc your choices are pretty limited.
I would generally avoid samsung's non-professional monitorsfor your sort of use as they don't seem to display non-PC 16:9 sources like consoles properly - they either stretch the picture vertically or resize too far and push the sides off the edge of the screen. I believe the dell can scale properly on it's DVI ports and hopefully the A01 revision will correct the HDMI port overscan.
I don't have an xbox360. My mates do though.
Just been looking at what I can get for £160 ish and you can pick up 8800 ultras for that price (new) on ebay....how reliable this is, I have no idea but it's a better option?
