    No input Signal error

    Hi all,
Hope you can offer some assistance to what I believe is probably a simple problem ;P

I had a new rig (specs below) delivered yesterday. Now, so far i have not been able to boot to Vista. The system powers up, one beep, fans spinning like lunatics (2 case, 2 graphics + coolermaster), it gets to the opening windows progress bar, flashing across nicely, and then I receive a "No input Signal".

I am in touch with the techs that built it, but frankly they are not around much and responses are very slow. The monitor itself is great and I am using it now on my old pc (with same dvi cable).

I can boot to safe mode no problem, but I have no idea where to go from there. The cards (incl SLI bridge), cables, ram all seem properly mounted, its just weird that I can display safe mode (in high res too) but not finish the boot sequence.

    About me:- never liked hardware
I try to avoid pulling loads of components out as I have a tendency to be heavy handed and prone to mishap! That said, it all looks good in there.
Its not hooked up to web, so posting diags may be problematic. i cant take the card out to test as this ole pc is AGP.
is there something obvious I am missing here.

Appreciate any help you can offer
    D

    Re: No input Signal error

I had this problem with my old computer, I found that the graphics card wasn't sitting correctly in the slot and one of the pins on the VGA cable was bent. Took a long time to find the problem, but was easy to fix when i found it.

    Re: No input Signal error

Well, tried a few reseats and came up with removing the second card plus sli bridge. Works fine.
Shame I'm down to one card until I can figure out what setting is stopping the sli mode engaging for vista...
