Ok...
I'm a bit confused and searching the internet isn't much help either. I have a 3850 with the on board audio chip so I can put video and sound through a HDMI cable.
Will any old HDMI-DVI adapter work, or does it need to be a specific one, i.e. THE ATi one?
This one is only £4 but the ATI ones are hard to come by (only come with the boxed card, and still some manufacturers decide against putting these in)
The ATI one looks like this: Product detail - DVI-HDMI ADAPTER
So have any of you tried a normal / cheap adapter ? I have no way of trying for a couple of weeks, so it would be nice to get it to work first timeReason for asking is that I've caught wind of you not being able to get sound if you don't use the proper ATi one...
Cheers,
Ian
