    getting Saphire 9800xt.....

    Hi,

This is the first ATI i will have since I tried an awful rage128 pro back in the days when ATI's were awful to install.
So I need to know two things:

1> Whats the best catalyst driver to use?

2> Should I use the overclocking utility that comes with the card (used it on a 128 pro for someone once) as it seemed quite......unprofessional to me when i looked at it, or is there a good third party one to use?

3> will i cream my pants when i see it running? lol

    cheers!

use the latest omega drivers (google is your friend), and do use the overdrive feature on the card - very useful. As for traditional o/cing, whay would you want to , you have the fastest card available and ocing invalidates the card unless using a first party thingummy )i think) so stick to those drivers and turn on overdrive.

    And yes, muchosmuchos creamage!

1.... I am using the Caty 3.10, the 4.1's did not list anything that would make it beneficial to upgrade.

2.... I have not used it, but thats because the game has not struggled with a thing I have thrown at it yet.

3.... probably, I was like you, I had a rage128 and I was with Nvidia since, but I took the Ti4800 out and put the 9800xt Sapphire in and OMG lol
