    Dell 2408WFP Component issue

    Lo,

I wanted to see what component on my new 2408WFP looked like so I plugged my Wii in.

All I get is a "No Signal" message on the monitor.

    This is what I've tried:

    1) Plugged the Wii into my HDTV (Via Component) - Worked fine
    2) Tried the Wii on my monitor with Composite - Worked fine
    3) Tried my 360 on the monitor with Component - Worked fine
    4) Restarting the monitor and removing all plugs and replacing.

And yes, I am putting the cables in the right ports on the monitor.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this isn't working for me as I have no more things to try...?

    Thanks for any help,

    FifthFreedom

    Re: Dell 2408WFP Component issue

My 2407-HC does silly things sometimes too... Unplug everything from the monitor (power, video and usb) then wait 10 minutes and reconnect everything. I have to do this everytime I get no signals for component or composite... It might not work for you, but its worth a try

    Re: Dell 2408WFP Component issue

May be a glitch with the monitor, try unplugging every source including the DVI/VGA to your graphics card, pull the power cord out of the monitor, plug just the wii in only and connect the power back up. Try switiching it on.

    Re: Dell 2408WFP Component issue

Hhhmm, doesn't sound good ! Have you spoken to Dell () ?

Kinda fancy a 2408 myself, but little 'things' like this make me hang fire...perhaps a new revision soon ?

Also, probably silly, but is there some kind of reset that can be done on the 2408 ? Perhaps it has got confused.....?
