    Yet another Monitor Advice Thread...

Ok, here's a few things I need to specify:-

    Panel Size - 24"/1920x1200 res
    Inputs - DVI w/HDCP
    Budget - £300

Now I'm not sure about Panel Type, I'm coming from a Viewsonic VP730 which I believe is a TN Panel, and I'm 100% happy with the viewing angles and response times of it. For what I use it for, I see no ghosting/blurring. What options do I have, obviously if I can get something with similar response times/viewing angles as my Viewsonic with a better quality panel (maybe a glass front screen, since I love the look of them, I don't know if these are a certain panel or not, forgive my ignorance) then that would be great. So please let me know what you think I can go for.

    Thanks in advance guys.

My advice wait another few months so you have £420 and buy a Dell 2408WFP

I got mine a few days ago, utterly awesome...

All the connections you could ever need and more and the picture is great... !

TN Pannels are ok if you only ever use word on a PC but to be honest if your going to spend £300 on a monitor I would want it to be good for more than that...

So the Dell would offer similar performance as far as response times and viewing angles as my Viewsonic, but overall a much nicer picture quality? Does the dell have a glossy fronted screen?

What about the OCUK cheap 24" VA Panel screen? I know picture quality won't be great, but I guess it will be at least as good as my Viewsonic? I don't really need a huge jump in quality, I just want the size and resolution, and similar reponse times/input lag.

I am pretty happy with mine, viewing angles are very good and it is much better than my old 17" LG. I don't notice any lag in any games, and I ended up with a VA panel that is in some £400+ monitors.

Re: Yet another Monitor Advice Thread...

Well, I'm looking at the Dell, I know the picture quality is incredible, but will I really see a big problem with lag/ghosting, will it be worse than my Viewsonic for instance?
