So that's what it takes to "tame Crysis".. almost.
and with Crysis 2 on the way your going to have to link up 2 of those to run it :S

Incredible how little you get for the extra. Never liked multi-GPU and this is a great example of why
Still, I have already seen people running SLI GTX280, I am sure it won't be long before we see the triple-SLI systems popping up

Bloody hell £2000 minimum for a Crysis running system... I'd rather just leave Crysis on the shelf thank you. Plus just imagine running a system that draws 800W. The power bill will be doubled for sure, well doubled from what my power draw is costing.
Bizarre! Who'd pay that much? I prefer to wait a few years for games like Crysis to be playable at pretty resolutions and levels of details.
"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
haha. i wish i had money to burn =P
Thing is, Crysis is the only problematic game - at least to such a degree......very hard to spend such money to play one game (pretty as it is)......still, wasn't there a gap of sorts before Oblivion became 'fully' enjoyable ?

does the very high xp hack work just as well in killing fps? i managed to get between 40-60fps on crysis very high(xphack) with my 8800GTS not sli , shows how pro my card is .
Note: That is on multiplayer, some reason on multi the fps shoots up so wonder why benchmarks for crysis never say if its single or multiplayer tests, on single i get 30fps lol.
This seems like quite a realistic thrash with the 260 and the 280:

From what I've read so far, I think SLI OVERKILL is ....err....overkill, and a ripoff. My pennies will go on the cheaper version of the 280 this time next year.
Every little helps!
I am puzzled: looking at just the performance, it looks like a third 280GTX add more performance over two 280GTX compared to two 280GTX over one. This is strange because diminishing returns usually increases as you add more cards.
