nVidia 8800gt Vista 32bit drivers for fan control

Hi,

I believe I'm using the 174.21 drivers, does anyone know if that pesky Fan speed control issue is fixed in any of the newer driver versions, and have any views on what is the best version to use.

I have kept using an older driver version so that I can use Rivatuner to control the fan.

I thought the fan control problem on 8800GTs could only be solved by flashing the card...

I heard that it might be a Card BIOS issue but never had it confirmed, was hoping a new driver fix was possible.

Has anyone successfully flashed a 8800gt and fixed the fan speed issue? Don't want to flash it if there is no point.

just use rivatuner, i couldnt find a flash for my card and so just stuck with rivatuner.

it wont speed up when temps increase so basicly it will stay at like 29% for ever even if its hot.

I did flash my 8800GT's BIOS, but I can't confirm if that fixed the issue, as I always use RivaTuner to set my fan speed to a constant 100% while gaming (it isn't *THAT* loud. lol That's what headphones are for, anyways). ^_^
