Question 8800 GT 512MB DDR3 Superclocked Edition -VS- 9800 GTX

I know this one has been beaten down in this forum plenty of times but I have the overclocked version of the 8800GT Card.

    These are the deals.

I bought this EVGA 880GT Superclocked Edition for $140 used from this guy.
I know I can sell it maybe get at least $160 for it.

Right now they have a special at my local Electronics store for a PNY 9800GTX.

They are selling the 9800GT for $200 with a $50 rebate. SO basically get it for $150.

So pretty much Id sell my 8800 GT for $160 and then get the 9800GTX for $150 after rebate. I'm leaning towards the 9800GT.

    What do you guys think?

I compared specs and they almost seem the same so I want to be sure I make the right decision.

    Thanks,

I would go with the 9800GTX over the 8800GT for sure, but good luck selling the 8800GT for more than the 9800GTX will cost you.

If you can get those prices you quote, then yes, go for it. The 9800GTX is a better card.

Although I'm not sure on how you can sell the 8800GT for more?

    =
So this is worth the trouble of waiting for a rebate and ordering this online??

Are the gains that big between the two?

Only you can decide if its worth the hassle. As for the differences, there are loads of benchmarks with the 9800GTX being compared to other cards. Just have a Google mate

The 9800 GTX isn't that much better than the 512 GTS. If your looking at 9800 GTX you should take a good look at the 4850. Is faster and should have more to come with driver improvements.
