Ati Radeon Mobility HD 3470 vs. HD 2600?

Which card gives a better gaming experience? the Mobility HD 2600 or the HD 3470? I'm getting a laptop and I want to be able to game on it a bit aswell.

    Thanks in advance,

Compare the performance over some games and 3DMark scores by opening the 3470 and 2600 pages.

seems the 2600 is the better choice.
    Cavalier-X: Biostar TP45-HP ¦ E4600@3.1ghz - Xigmatek Red Scorpion (OCZ Freeze) ¦ OCZ ReaperX 2x2gb (792mhz @ 4-4-4--12) ¦ Xigmatek NRP-MC651 ¦

Are they both Mobility cards or is the HD3470 a desktop card?

    For comparison:
a desktop HD2600 would easily beat out a desktop HD3470

Hmm, okay, next question: I can still game reasonably on a 3470, right? I assume decoding high def movie content shouldnt be a problem on a 3470 and a C2D?

1024 x 768 would probably be ok for the HD3470, some games will run nicely above that though. HD with a C2D will be fine

Depends how you define reasonably... it would work for most games, but only at low settings...

Thats usually fine with me, I don't really look at graphics. I mean if I can turn the settings up and still have a good framerate then I'll up it, but if not, no worries.

Once again thanks for the replies

Another thing to keep in mind is, the HD3470 is less likely to burn your crotch.
