Get a quality PSU, don't stick to some cheap, un-known brands (i.e EZCool etc), this is a honest advice.
If you are investing in your PC instead of just maintenance it, get a more powerful PSU, I would say at least 520W.
(p.s I have just upgraded my old 350W PSU to a CoolerMaster Modular 700W, totaly worth it, my next target is 2 x XFX 8800GT alpha dog run SLI when I have the money )

The HD4670 maybe itself bus powered as I stated earlier. The FireGL V5700 has the same core with 320 stream processors and 128 bit memory but has no connector for additional power.
Scan also have had the 700W FSP FSP700-80GLN for £28 to £35 on Today Only many times recently . It retails with them for usually £70 and will be a good investment.

It has good reviews:

I agree with CAT, this might be the one you want and the price is right too.

The 700W FSP is available on Scan this weekend for £35:

Latest news and pictures of the HD4670 show it is bus powered and will have HD3850(or better) performance:

Supposedly it is coming out on September 10th!
My daughter just got a pc last week new its Siemens fujitsu with dual core 2 psu with 1gb ram. Updated ram to 4gb (vista 64)
It is a slim line case with 300w low noise psu and a crap ati pcie 3800 card (passive cooling) cant recall how much ram but not much
She wants to play sims 3 but it is struggling. Tempted to get the HD4670
Odd thread to bump, but I kind of see why you chose it. I doubt that the graphics card you're replacing is a 3800 series as I don't believe they were ever available with passive cooling.
You say the case is "slimline" - will it take full height expansions or only half height? If it won't take full height cards I'm afraid you'll struggle to get anything with significant graphical power...

Hi yes I did a search in google "graphics card for 300w psu" and found this thread, I was a bit in a rush still am lol due to problems on her pc more software than anything.
Anyhow slight mistake in graphics card its a ATI HD3400. The sims 3 doesn't run all that way even with much of detail turned down
Its got a decent processor, ram now just graphics doesnt cut it
Maximum length is 18.5cm before it hits a plug for motherboard at end of pcie slot

If the case can take full sized cards then an HD4670 can be had for under£60:

You can also use the free Scan postage too as you have over 20 posts on Hexus.
I would also not upgrade anything else in the PC apart from the RAM if you add a new graphics card as it could be too much for the PSU.

Many thanks its much appreciated its given me something to think about managed to find a smaller card HD4670

Just checking if its this one scan have

If it's a Dell, good luck upgrading the PSU, they're usually proprietary. An HD4670 will do fine with no power connection. A 300W unit is ample to run a 4670, heck, it's fine for even a 4870 with most CPUs, but doesn't have the power connectors required.

Hi its a Siemens Fuitsui with 2.8ghz dual core 2, slim line case you can use it as a desktop or as standup comes with some plastic stand
The psu is very small form factor and is very quiet its about 60-70% size of other psu I use
The card above I mentioned seems ot use around 10w ideal and around 40-50w on full load and takes power from mobo. I cant find any dimensions of the length etc though even on powercolour web site
(Extracts ruler, opens case): That particular graphics card (the powercolor 512Mb 4670 that is) is 16.7 cm long.
Any more questions I can help with?
Note that according to the SPCR forums, the powercolor card doesn't go as low power at idle as some of the others. Check their thread on the 4670s for details if you happen to care about that sort of thing.
