    How to overclock a 9800Pro ????

Hello there, I'm now the proud owner of a Saphire 9800Pro, and am thninking about OC'ing it, but io dont know how?? What programme do i need and where can i get it from? Then what do i do? What increments to go up by?

Any help would be reat guys as I'm new to this. Also, if anyone out there has this card and has it clocked, what have you got it to? Would really like to hear from you.

I benchmarked it this morning and got the following scores:

    3DMark01 se ---------- 16465
    3DMark93 ---------- 5622

all on sock settings. Now i know i can do better than that.

At the moment the peeds are as follows:

    VGA Mem 337.5MHz
    VGA Core 378.0MHz

Those scores sound about right for your rig without overclocking.
Go up in couple-megahertz increments when overclocking. Use Rage3DTweak to overclock. Just be careful with the stock cooling. Don't push it too far.

How about a permanent overclock to 9800XT speeds, it's easily achievable.

Download this guide to learn more: 9800 Pro to 9800XT, permanently

To confirm your card can run at 9800XT speeds without issues use: RadClocker

Where did you get your download from then? Cos i've tried 3 now, and the same thing comes up "Video Card not supported".

Use Omega's drivers - they include Radlinker which will let you adjust core & mem. clocks.
Btw, you should be getting over 17000 on an nForce2/2.3GHz XP with the card at stock speeds.

Auch :-( spot spoiling the fun How!! I rushed down to see what the rammy was

Buffs right, at 2.3ghz u should be getting 17k+ but i be too concerned.

On the stock cooling 420/365 would be a gd overclock.
