    Powercolor HD4870 PCS

So these are available on Scan for £184 and I'm thinking of treating myself. I like everything about it on paper - 3rd party cooler, pre-overclocked by a decent amount and a nice price. but I'm hearing some real horror stories about it on the net:

Specifically that the clocks are pushing it a bit too much and it's crashing when running due to a BIOS glitch. What do you guys think, should I take the plunge and mod the BIOS to fix the fan speed issue?

I had a Sapphire 4870 and it would clock to 880/1200. The fan wasn't too noisy and it worked well with the Asus Top Bios.

From the look of it the standard cooler looks better. I was very happy with my Sapphire.
