    Possible improvement.

Currently have a FX5700U with 128MB of ram. Have upgraded my system to Q6600, 4MB ram, Abit IP35 and wondered if I will see any benefit of "upgrading" to say an ATI HD 3450? Looking at the specs they dont seem all that much different. Am concerned to make sure any GPU installed is capable of editing, and playing back the HD video which I will shortly be using.
    Cheers

HD3450 is certainly a great card for HD/Blu Ray Playback, Can't say I know too much about your current card though.

As in a 5700 pci card...?! My dad still has one of those in his pC and he wonders why it's so crap.... If so then yes it will be a HELL of an improvement. Just check on the input because this will be a 16x express card and that needs to go in a differenet slot. Shouldn't be a problem on this mothherboard though. Although you might find that the power supply will be more stressed...Which is gonna cost a whole load more cash on top..

    any occasional games?
    or just what you said....
any with the H/D extras are worth it, especially ones with full decoding.

    if H/D streaming -£30-50
    mid gaming -£50-80
    flowing gaming -£80-125
    flat out gaming -£125-infinity

    nearly forgot-

if you only run upto a 21.6" monitor 256MB DDR3 is good
over 22" 512MB DDR3 is smoother (not just for games)
