    benchmark

Just wondering, got new pc, and want to see how good it is ect, what is a good benchmark to use.

    i hear 3dmark 2006 good, but 2 years old..

should i use a better one or will 2006 3dmark do just fine to see how good pc is?

    3dmark 2006 is still current.
if you have vista then have a go at the 3dmark vantage..
theres always PCMark, checks your whole computer out.. last version was 05, or theres PCMark Vantage for vista..
    others i know of..

Only part in the benchmark FM Vantage is the physx test which increases nvidia users scores.

    Re: benchmark

yeah, sucks it's one time I see. Tweak your pc for your best score
3DMark06 will run unlimited times and you can post up to 5 scores on your FM profile in the free version though. I guess thats why most stick with that. Do show your scores when you're done
I say with 06 you'll hit 14k+ I think 12k minimum and with Vantage I'm not so sure. If you can turn your gfx card into a physx card with some freaky drivers like nvidia cards can do then try that cos it'll add to your vantage score.

It's okay I'd say. Probably the graphics card letting you down there. What CPU score did you get?
