    Dual monitor question..

Just have a small question. Currently have 1 tft monitor. Noticed that my grfx card has 2 outputs. If I get another monitor, can I allow someone to play a game 1 monitor (with a gamepad) and use the pc as normal on the other screen? Or.. is there any software that would make both apps in the 2 screens active?

    Re: Dual monitor question..

^^ as Jay says, yes if the game you are playing has a windowed mode.

As an example, I tend to watch movies while playing games (especially during wow/civ4 where the in-game audio is plain boring), so I run the game on my primary monitor, and have windows media player on the other

No need for any advanced or expensive hardware to do that - works fine on any dual headed graphics card. The only problem you may face is performance, as using both monitors at once does slow things down, so depending on what you want to run on each screen you need a pretty powerful computer to do it.
