Help me decide a new monitor for gaming

Im looking at 24", mainly because i want those ones that are capable of displaying 1080p (correct me if that is impossible), ideally with HDMI as well. Ive got two monitors on my list but im a bit unsure as to whether they meet my needs:

Or does anyone have any more ideas? My budget is only at around £250

You may want to consider the Dell S2409. It has a slightly lower resolution than standard 24" monitors - 1920x1080 instead of 1920x1200 - but that's still fine for 1080p movies. It comes with VGA, HDMI and DVI (and supports HDCP). It's quite new so reviews are a bit hard to come by at the moment though.

I've got a BenQ FP241W. It's lovely. It's worth noting, however, that it does not have in-built speakers, which may or may not be an issue (!). Plus, of course, it's a little pricey.

Re: Help me decide a new monitor for gaming

The dell thats already been suggested seems allright and the resolution is 1080p... the ones in your list would be 1080p but i think they are both tn panels so if you want it for watching movies then i wouldn't go for them... you would really want a pva panel for that screen size

Yeah the problem is getting a 24" PVA panel for £250 is going to be tricky

The Hyundai W240D with the PVA panel is good quality and value at less than £300 and has all the inputs you could ever want

Re: Help me decide a new monitor for gaming

That digimate looks very interesting. And yes I would be watching movies with this monitor so I am a bit pushed to go for a non TN panel. Also i saw this

    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/544778...I/Product.html

It looks absolutely gorgeous. But for some reason because the links that i originally have is a 26" and a 28" its making me feel like im getting more of my moneys worth because they are bigger. But at the same time asking myself "do i really need those??" Its so hard to decide when this amount of money is being dealt with.

    THanks for the suggestions guys
