    22" Monitor

I am currently in the market for a new 22" monitor to replace my huge old CRT which is currently hogging my desk. I have had a look around and it seems like the LG and Samsung monitors are the best value for money. I have a budget of anything up to £250 with a DVI connection and I do not really care about any extra features i.e. speakers, usb ports etc. althought stuff like that is always a bonus. I just really want the best quality picture for gaming and watching movies.

The 22" Samsung 226BW is available for just £179.00 (+ P&P) on Amazon now, and it's still one of the best

But since you'll also be using it to watch movies, you ought to consider a 24" screen... if you have the room?
The 24" Yuraku YV24WBH1 which has been raved about on many forums - including this one, is available for just £205 (+ P&P)

    Thumbs up Re: 22" Monitor

surely U mean Samsung etc are best quality, not value.
I run a AG Neovo H-W22 and love it, you can only notice leakage if full black screen,

DVi/HDMI is essential don't be tempted by VGA no matter how cheap for the inches
(btw DVi is HDMI, just cut out sound, or HDMI is upgraded DVi it;s how you look at it)

    Re: 22" Monitor

I have the AG Neovo H-W22 too and I am quite impressed with it, especially since it came with a DVI cable included. Picture quality is excellent too.
It didn't need much adjustment to meet the standards required according to this website..

    Re: 22" Monitor

Look at the BenQ E2200HDA. It is Full HD 16:9 LCD and offers a great gaming and video experience. It got a lot of press coverage recently and has been recommended by professionals. I think market launch will be pretty soon and experts already had the chance to look at it. The price should be fair, I know that they sell it in Germany for 190 EUR, i.e. £152.

1920x1080 res on a 21.5" screen....nice for media content. Text might be too small for some though!

    Re: 22" Monitor

If it sells for less than £200 it will be a bargain, I would much prefer a 22" over a 24" screen less space needed and a sharper image due to smaller pixels. As to text size you can alter that all you want.

    Re: 22" Monitor

The smaller the screen the better usually for me I like to have everything in my eyeline, 19" used to be big enough for me but with widescreen now I've gone and ordered the 22" AG Neovo for £125

I doubt I will ever play or use a PC with a bigger screen. However I do use a 32" TV for well... TV!

    Re: Benq 22" Monitor

22" is definitely a good size to have a good perception of the full screen size. Larger sizes will be difficult to keep the overview I think.

    Re: 22" Monitor

My 5/6 years old CRT 17inch monitor died recently so I had to buy a new monitor. Was quite hard to make up my mind on which model i should go for, considered money factor too. In the end, I went for HannsG 22'' widescreen Monitor, got it from Play.com for 150quids and free delivery.

I like it alot, i play guild wars and CS, no ghost images.
