    Re: Dell 24" Monitor!

You will need to check that the onboard graphics can support the 1920*1080 signal although as long as it is a reasonably modern chipset that shouldn't be an issue

    Re: Dell 24" Monitor!

Well that Optiplex has an Intel GMA950 integrated graphics chip.

    http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/index.htm

This can handle up to 2048x1536 at 75 Hz maximum resolution, so there should be no problem with the 1920x1080. I've been running a 24" Dell off a laptop with (i think) GMA950 graphics for over a year, and that was the 1920x1200 model.

I don't see any problems with this setup vmong.

    Re: Dell 24" Monitor!

    Yes you should be OK
By the way this is a cracking offer from Dell (also ebuyer but out of stock)!
If you are into gaming, watching films plus some web/office apps work this monitor is on offer at an excellent price (despite the missing pixels).
    Very tempted...
