    4850 Mistake?

I've just ordered a nice new monitor to go with my nice new 4850 and I just realised I haven't checked that it can run games (up to and including Crysis Warhead) well at 1920 x 1080... Anyone reckon I'll have any real problems, bearing in mind that I was previously running Crysis okay with an 8800GTS (320) at 1280 x 1024?

Should be ok if you turn some settings down to medium quality.

Some benchmarks here for 1280x1024 and 1900x1200 high quality with 8800GTS 320 and 4850

    Re: 4850 Mistake?

My brother plays Crysis at 1920*1200 on a 8800 GTS 512MB most settings Medium, texture quality High and one or two others on High as well, no AA and no AF (unless it sets the AF automatically). He averages 35 fps never dropping below 27fps and sometimes reaching the heady heights of 45!

The 4850 is better than the 8800 GTS so I would expect you to be able to play on similar/better settings maybe with some AF as well at 1920*1080.

Crysis Warhead "apparently" runs better than Crysis as well so it should be less of a concern there.

    Re: 4850 Mistake?

You should be ok on medium, may get an option or 2 on high.

I use a 4870x2 (which in Crysis is more like a 4870x1.1 ) and can have everything on high @ 1920x1200 with 4xAA (4xAA seems to come at no performance cost on the 48xx series).

It can dip below 30 FPS still but most of the time its rocking along nicely

As to Warhead, I have it but promised myself not to play it until I finish Crysis, which was coming along nicely until I picked up Warhammer last week
