    gfx probelm..

    Well i jsut got the 9800GTX(up from a 8800GTS) and ive been having a bit of trouble, i unistalled drivers then put card in and then install ther 178 driver, all worked fine till loading the actual desktop where id get no input, after abouyt 20mins of doing safemode and different drivers i finally got it work but i cant seem to put the res above 1024x768, anything higher and i get no input... any ideas?

    Might be worth running DriverCleanerPro and then rebooting before re-installing the drivers.

    Also might be worth changing the monitor driver to something else (if you have a product-specific driver, change it to PnP Monitor or visa-versa)

    so far no luck, used the program and tried it with both 175 and 178, same issue. When i let windows do it i can use 1680x1050 but when using firefox it is really laggy while scrolling, normally found this when drivers were missing. Any other ideas?

    Actually sounds like it's the Vista monitor drivers problem, it's been happening to a few people recently on both nvidia and ati cards.
    Seem to be getting incorrect settings from the monitor (as to what screen size and refresh rates it can run)
    No solution to this problem as yet AFAIK
