    are ti4800s any good?

    Will I expect a significantly much better 3dmark01 than I did with my Leadtek ti4200 64Mb

    this card is a PNY VErto 4800 128Mb with 8x agp

    not really as im sure the ti 4800 s were just souped up ti 4200s with 8x agp
    the 8x agp will make little effect plus some of the 64 mb ti 4200 cards had faster memory than the ti 4800s so were in fact faster !!
    leadteks cards were pretty good as i had one lol but i dont think you will see much difference on stock settings ! maybe if you can o/c a bit then you could see a difference

    the ram and gpu on this are 650mhz and 350mhz on the ti4200 the were 513 and 275 so this is gonna make a difference surely?

    the 4800 is a 4600 with AGP8X
    the 4800SE is a 4400 with AGP8X
    the 4280 is a 4200 iwth AGP8X

    ah well i stand corrected you have a ti 4600 8x agp so there should be a bit of an increase

    Still only a DX8 card though.
    As long as your Ti4200 is working then I would suggest that you would be better looking at a newer card.
