...from my 9800gtx and there is very little difference in cod4/5. I had to turn the AA and AF down a little, but that's no big deal. 9800gtx was overkill for the 2 games I play, even at 1920x1200!!!
(Yes it's the Hexus 9600gt! The one that I won)

CoD4/5 aren't very taxing on the GPU though, despite their awesome graphics.
i get a solid 60FPS on CoD4/5 with my 8800GT @ 1920x1200
the 8800GT and 9600GT are pretty similar in performance, aren't they?
what you doing with the 9800GTX?
does the 9600 scream like the 9800?
Its not as bad, but it does screech when I fold. Its very quiet otherwise...
Got rid of the 9800gtx. Was going to upgrade, but I might just leave it at this now...
Latest drivers. That's really odd. You should max it out no problem... maybe your CPU/RAM or something else is holding it back. Anything running in the background?
Well it shouldnt be held back by an e8400 and 4gb 800mhz cas 5 ram. It has been happening for ages now, im going to try vsync so brb. Ok with vsync im getting over 60FPS, how is that possible?XD
I put settings to max with vsync and most of the time got 50-60 sometimes it spiked to 90 and others to 40 so im still unsure how its so erratic, how much aa and AF did you have on?
V-sync shouldn't go past the Hz of your monitor..
mine never passes 60Hz cos that's the refresh rate of my monitors.
but it can drop below that.
cod automatically caps the frame rate anyway
when i removed V-sync mine never went above 90FPS, is that the cap?
