    Question Multi-Monitor With 2 GeForces

Im looking at dual monitors, and am worried about the drivers for the geforces i have chosen to use. When i am planning to do this i will be running a Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/1200 XP "Golden Sample" FX5900/128MB (as Scan.co.uk titles it) and the other card is old, a Mine's PCI GF 2 MX 400 or 440 (not 100% which). I read (while looking for the older cards max. resolution/refresh rates) that theres a problem with Detonator 4 software on the GF2... Is this true, and can i overcome this without purchasing any extra hardware? (Rig = P4P800, P4 2.4 HT, 512 2700 ddr) Thanks in advance!

The newer card you are looking at can support a multitude of configurations for dual-view displays. It has 2 connectors ( 1 D-Sub and 1 DVI ) and you get a DVI to D-Sub convertor so you can run 2 monitors from the 5900 and use the old card as a paperweight

The following link will explain all about the nview technology and also what configurations it supports :: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/feature_nview.html

    Hope this info helps

or if you have your heart set on using the older card as well, bear in mind that ALL nVidia cards use the same drivers, and you can only have one set at a time - so you'd JUST install the Forceware (5x.xx) drivers for the newer card, and that would drive the older one as well.

    no worries

Thats what we're all here for. On a lighter note, I have that particular card myself at home in one of my systems and my god is the blue neons in the fans light, they make the whole case glow ( great for night typing )

Lee, have you overclocked that card then? I'd like to know how far it goes. I have seen the hexus review, but i'd rather see the clock speed. Thanks
