Powercolor HD4870 PCS BIOS and noise issue?

I've been reading up about this card, and there are 2 things which bother me:

    1) I have read stories about the BIOS not correctly controlling the fan speed causing overheats (the fan apparently doesnt kick in until it needs to, so theres a constant stop and start thing going on with it...)

    2) A horrible scraping noise that comes from the card...and its loud?

Anyone know if they have (dunno if it would be ATi or powercolor) released a BIOS fix or if these problems are now gone?

    Thanks

Ps. Anyone that has this card, could you tell me what the retail package comes with? Im assuming this is retail http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148947

One of the reviewers there says its "cool, quiet and stable", and the others seem to be (mostly) giving it good reviews.

There is even an rather angry response to the post of the article on the "issues". Its probably a fairly safe bet if ohter who have bought it from Ebuyer thinks ok. One or two of them have stress tested to by the sounds of it.

Yea, I had the same impression too Zadock, but none mention the presense (nor deny it!) of that scraping sound.
Also I overlooked a user review that states it doesnt come with the 6pin adaptor! D'oh!
I did ring ebuyer to find out, and the guy said it should come with it, but isnt able to guarantee it, haha. Typical.

Ok I rang ebuyer, and this time the guy managed to find out about the extra 4pin to 6pin connector. This package does come with one, result!
But alas, they are out of stock now xD
