    HD4650 GDDR3 - an HD4670 in Sheep's clothing??

Just came across the HD4650 GDDR3:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151454

It seems like an underclocked HD4670 for nearly 10 quid less!! A bit of overclocking should make this card nearly as fast an HD4670!!

    Re: HD4650 GDDR3 - an HD4670 in Sheep's clothing??

Yep, will need a good bit of clocking the 4670 runs at 750Mhz GPU and 1000Mhz mem (2000MHz DDR) the model you linked to has a core of 600MHz and 700MHz mem (1400MHz DDR).

    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/S...650_OC/26.html

That is a pre OCed model to 650MHz Core and 900MHz RAM looses about 10-12% on the 4670, they do get it to clock to 807MHz Core and 1174Mhz Mem so it looks promising

There is non OC Saphhire HD4650 GDDR3 512mb HDMI version for a few quid more:

They managed to get it to 790mhz for the core and 860mhz for the RAM - not too bad at all!! It also has an HDMI ouput too!!

However you can an HD4670 for 62 quid delivered from Tekheads though:
