    Hd4670 gddr4!!

I wonder if this will be the ultimate bus-powered card??

    More details here:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/82041/Sap...n_HD_4670.html

It should also have lower power consumption than the GDDR3 versions!!

If I remember, GDDR4 didn't really bring many gains over modern GDDR3, but anyway. Sapphire's own product page is here:

The first review I have seen of the HD4670 GDDR4 shows that it is around 5% faster than a standard GDDR3 HD4670 and is much quieter too:

    http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/ind...&limitstart=10

Cost around 10 quid more than a normal GDDR3 card though:

more to the point it's only a couple of fps faster on most of that, looking at 1280x1024 most of the games are avarageing 30-50fps (depending on game)

The better cooling and lower sound can be put down to the larger cooler fan

The only difference really is the memory speed has gone from 1000mhz to 1100mhz, it's still limited by 128bit bandwidth

I wonder what the passive sapphire is like for heat?

Thatt looks more intresting to me.
