    LCD TV as a monitor?

Thinking of getting a new screen, but just wondering how would an LCD TV like this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146567 be like a pc monitor too? any good?

    thanks in advance

Got the 22" version of this for £194 before christmas, and it's good as a monitor too, noticed no different between that and my ASUS VW222S

    It's 4.98*

That is practically a monitor with an inbuilt tv tuner.

yep + remote and normally some slightly better speakers
oh and about twice the price.

A normal branded 19" is going to be around £80-90

If your budget can stretch to a 1080p television you'll be laughing mate. It's so damn cool. I'm using a 37" Panasonic as my primary monitor

Re: LCD TV as a monitor?

^ way too expensive i decided not to go for one, not the best time to buy might look into it later in the year, hopefully the newer models might come down in price, so gonna stick with my current setup since its all working fine,

Get an LCD TV with VA panel, better color/contrast and viewing angle.

    +1, Listen to this guy.

also, if you are a serious gamer i wouldn't recommend using a LCD as a PC monitor, although they are cheaper and serve as a more multipurpose option rather then a Monitor, they do tend to use much more electricity and are overall not the best of choices for a gamer.

If you just watch films and other everyday activities on your computer then go for it as you can get an LCD with the same specs as a monitor for about half the price, so i see no reason to wait. check out Samsung, they have some really good monitors and the actual TV looks really good.
