How can my mate run 3 monitors off his PC? He has 2 running off of his ATI graphics card. His mobo only has one PCIe Slot which is used. Any help would be great.
He wants 3 screens as he trades etc. Thanks

oh they also make a dual version, sounds like that will be enough if he already has 2 screens
Thanks. That is the easiest / best way?
Expensive!!! Any other way?
unless he wants to go the pci route there good bits of kit
He can fit a PCI card as well as running a PCIe card? It will work ok?
What about changing the Mobo for an SLI one and fitting 2 graphic cards and running 3 tft's off of them? Is that possible?
Anyone see that Terry Pratchett documentary (part 1) on Alzheimers?
He had a rather slick array of 6 monitors - two banks of three. At one point he said ...
"Why do I have six monitors? Because I can't fit eight in the room!"
Good answer, that.
Yeah that made me chuckle
As to the monitor predicament get one of these 4x DVI FTW (and a better price) (that's a 4850X2 by the way if people can't be bothered to click the links ) alternatively you can get some USB based display adapters like this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139163
it all comes down to cost, if a new mobo is the answer get one with onboard VGA, that would be the most cost effective option of all
pci VGA is pants really but another cheap option
So, which option guys? Money is tight as my mate wants to buy the 3rd TFT aswell.
agreed
Ok, mate is using an ATI card so just get any ATI PCI card? It will work no problems at all? Resolution will be the same? He has 2 19" TFT's and is buying a 3rd.
Can't find any in stock anywhere yet!!
