Or to put it another way, according to you, at worst 98 out of 100 get a dead-pixel-free monitor.
Even if you
do get a dead pixel on a monitor, it's rarely much of an issue above 19". I had 2 or 3 dead corn-flies (which were 3-4 pixels long) in my old 2405FWP and I only
ever noticed them when using Photoshop to remove some slightly larger (pixel wise!) dirt from the floor in some portrait shots I'd done. That's it.
It did bug me at first (pun not intended), but after a week or 2, I tend to completely forget about them, let alone a solitary pixel.
Go back to the stats though. Is it really worth the extra?
