    Horizontal Noise/Jittering

I have an 8800GTS connected up to 2x LG 22" screens, connected up with DVI cables, so it's all digital (output sockets on the 8800GTS are also DVI, so no conversion or anything).

Everything has been going wonderfully up until a couple of weeks ago when I randomly started getting horizontal noise/jittering on my second screen, restarting my PC seemed to fix it.

A couple of shutdowns and bootups later it returned (until I restarted again), and just now when I restarted to get some program running properly it has turned up on my main screen.

So it seems intermitent, and completely random on which screen it happens on (hasn't occured on both screens at once, yet :l *gulp*).

Here is a photo of what I am describing:

Is my graphics card kicking the bucket, or is this a solvable problem?

    EDIT:
I just took a print-screen to see if it was supposed to be outputing like this, in case that was the error, but the screenshot looks like it should do:

    Re: Horizontal Noise/Jittering

If it's happening on both screens - it's highly unlikely they have gone at the same time (same for the DVI cables being damaged).
Screenshot will grab the image from the buffer - so it's almost certain it's not being rendered like that (thus highly unlikely to be a driver issue)

My money is on the card being the issue

I'm having this exact same issue with this card. I switched the cables in the back to determine it's an issue with just one port on the card. As Bluesatin said above, a reboot usually works. What was the result - was it a faulty card?

    Re: Horizontal Noise/Jittering

As my problem occured on both screens intermitedly, but only 1 at a time it didn't seem to be either of the connections on the card.

I haven't replaced my graphics card, since it's out of warranty and I'm a poor student at the moment, luckily the error hasn't occured recently.

The only thing I've really changed is that I lowered my overclock on my CPU, but I have never overclocked my graphics card, so I highly doubt it's that.

Oh and a tip for you, if you get the noise thing, just change your resolution or do something that causes your screen to go black and 'reboot' as such (alt+tabbing/opening and closing a game does this).
