Powering a gtx 295
I have just bought one of these only to find out that my power supply a corsair hx620 dosnet have an 8 pin power connecter, only 2 6 pin ones. The card came with an adapter to make 2 4 pin into one 8 pin but then it says in the manual that you shouldnt use these. Is there any way i can power my card with this psu?

Re: Powering a gtx 295
Go for it, the 2 extra pins are grounding pins they dont actually do anything, its just cable ratings. Later versions of your psu came with 8 pins anyway.

Re: Powering a gtx 295
as above, you just need the adaptors so that you have the correct connectors. but the corsair 620w should be fine to power it. :)

As Mehmeh linked, Corsair will happly freely supply them to you if you contact them.
There's a reason we like Corsair support :)
