BFG has such good customer service??

I find this thread a bit hard to believe but if its is true then this is amazing:

    http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=17977856

The guy had watercooled 8800GTX which went south and then BFG replace it with a GTX280 watercooled edition . Since he had an SLI setup supposedly he wangled another one off them.

I know WJA, and I believe this to be true. I've heard from others that BFG offer great customer support - this is a good example of that. Who else would offer Lifetime warranty? That's confidence!!

I suppose if BFG generally have a lower number of returns they can afford to be generous with RMAs.

Well I'm not so sure on that. Because compared to other companies that only offer 2 years, when those 2 years are up there is obviously no return. So 7/8/9 series are all still under support for BFG, cards that are many years old.

Its a cycle, you have great RMA (and customer) service, build up reputation, more demand for your cards, perhaps a slight markup on your cards too and you can perhaps afford to be generous with the returns and RMA.

Well they are certainly one of the top brands on the NV side, as you say - their success probably allows them to do this!

Re: BFG has such good customer service??

I've had an excellent experience with BFG - a very well handled RMA. It'll pay off for them too - I will certainly be looking for another BFG card when it's time to upgrade.

Re: BFG has such good customer service??

Well I'm not surprised, as BFG are one of the few companies that do a Life time (10year) warranty.
The card was still within it's BFG warranty however the 8800gtx is EOL so there's no easy way for BFG to get a replacement and it would be way too much hassle to repair.
So instead they offer him a current top of the range equal value card (from the time of purchase)
Most companies wouldn't do that simply because there warranties are not that long. (EVGA is the other company I can think of, XFX as well but only for US customers)

The fact that they swaped out his working 8800gtx for a gtx280 for his sli setup is what shows great customer after sales service
