A long shot i know, but is this possible? It say only 2 can be used but can you get Software to get it to work. I am using 2 DVI cables + a hdmi - dvi cable.

No, there are only 2 DVI slots on the back. 3 (may) be possible if you use 2*DVI, and one S-video

    Re: 9600GT + 3monitors

No even when cards have 3 ports on the back you can only normally use a combination of 2 of them at once.
To get 3 or more from a single you need to use a "Pro" card not a gaming/media card.
Pro cards are more expensive and will not run games very well if at all.
The only other way would be to get an external device like Matrox make, a 2nd graphics card or it may be possible with edited/hacked drivers (but thoes come with other sets of issues)

Your best bet is to read the Hexus news page in case someone's just released a new product that will help you. A company have just released a PCI-e x1 GeForce 9500, which would sit next to your 9600 and give you an additional 2 outputs Dunno when it's due in the shops, though...

Can't you just plonk another card like an 8400GS into the other PCI-E 16x slot??

Yeap, that is what you want to do

I have a crossfire board and run a 9800GTX in the main slot and a 7600GT in the second slot.

Everything runs fine, only issue is making sure you get the drivers installed right, i.e. for me the latest nvidia drivers don't support the 7600GT so I had to extract the old drivers that did and just point windows to that folder to install them. Then I installed the latest nvidia drivers the normal way for the 9800GTX.

    It works really well!

AFAIK only windows 7 and XP support mix and match drivers, so try to make sure they use the same driver version as it helps!

    Re: 9600GT + 3monitors

I thought it was a long shot on one card. The card i have now is the Gainward version which has 2 DVI + 1 HDMI + 1 Displayport. I may be looking for a new gpu soon anyway so i'll take a look at those.
