Looks like a good card. Wish we could get some proper details like how much its gonna cost. Is it actually available for purchase yet?

These things are now in stock at a couple of places for £215-250
Cheapest I've seen so far is on OCUK, for £210.
Ah, didn't notice that one in their listings. Can't say I'm thrilled by the price when you can get 1Gb 4870s with non-stock cooling for £155.
Initial price is always a bit high, you have to fleece those who are impatient Hopefully in a months time the price will come down to about £180/£190.
Anyhow here is a translated version of the benchmarks

Some synthetic benchmarks with both the HD4890 and GTX275:

The cheapest HD4890 is around £210 at OcUK and the cheapest GTX275 is around £218 at Novatech.
Until the price settles down the HD4870 1gb and GTX260 216 shader version are better value especially since they can be both had for under £160 each.
How long is that card?
Asking as nvidia seem to have done the blinding obsious in that if you have a very long card you stick the power connectors on the side not the back.
If that's a 10" job then you'll need to add on at least another inch and more likely two for the power connector clearance which is going to be a major issue in a lot of cases.
Anandtech also has a review: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3539
I shouldn't need to do this, but Hexus has one: http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=17863
Both seem to give nVidia a marginal win, marginal being the keyword.
