Next Gen Graphics

With the latest revision of graphics cards just out 275 and 4890 - I'm wondering what can we expect later in the year when supposedly dx11 cards are coming out inc rv870?

Will they idle more efficiently, have how many more shaders etc.

Just looking for scraps of info if there is anything out there at the moment.

I'd guess RV870 - 40nm - 1280 stream processors - 384bit interface if gddr5 isn't fast enough to provide bandwith on 256bit - 700mhz

nvidia gt300 - 55nm? - 288 stream processors - 384bit interface if gddr5 isn't fast enough to provide bandwith on 256bit - 650mhz

like i say just a guess.

I think that for the performance parts they will try to maximise performance in the same power envelope as the current cards TBH. Hopefully cards will have lower idle power consumption as both the AMD and Nvidia performance parts should be 40nm. The best thing would be to wait and see!!
